pick it up then put it down

I don’t think there is anything more frustrating than being excited about starting some art, and hitting a brick wall of difficulties continuing. I look at these sketches I started a few weeks ago, and now, I don’t know how to pick up where I started. I love being an artist, and sometimes, I hate being one too.

It wouldn’t bother me, but I told someone I was doing them for him.

Geez … it's been a freaking long ass time since I did this. That was one heck of a "daydream." I don't even remember most of it.

In the long time since posting I've not really done all that much art. I DID suffer a nervous breakdown. That was … hellish.

Today is Thanksgiving. A day typically prone to excessive over-eating and debauchery. And giving thanks for both. I myself have a bottle of Merlot just waiting for me. Calling to me …

I am thankful my Mom is recovering from a bad health scare. Slowly … but she's getting stronger. The old lady has some like in her yet.

Work … BLECH!!!!

Moving on … hopefully a new job soon, Or maybe just doing some art … soon! I did do a "sidewalk chalk event" this past summer. I am very surprised I survived being surrounded by so many people. My drawing … meh.

Right! Okay then. Maybe I'll get the hang of this and post more often.

the long awaited first post

Right them … I have had this blog for sometime now, and as usually the case the KING of PROCRASTINATION (that being me of course) has done nothing with it.

Recently signed up with the 43 things site. There are wayyyyyyy more than 43 things I want/need/have to do. But, I will start nice and slow.

Doing more artwork … different types. No more preconceived notions about what is and is not art … unless of course it is images of cute, fuzzy kittens sitting next to a basket of flowers.

I really must draw the line there … a big, thick black sharpie marker line right through that nauseatingly sweet cuteness that such imagery is meant to convey. You really do have to have some standards! Am I right?!

Anyway … trying to do more artwork. Its the only thing that really makes me happy.

Will post some soon. Maybe I will do away with my prejudice against kitten with flower masterpieces and do one myself …
